Vadodara: The standing committee meeting of the Vadodara Municipal Corporation ( VMC ) saw aggressive representations by members against certain officials of the civic body. They demanded that these officials be removed as they were not working effectively. Sources said a section of committee members, including some women councillors, alleged that some officials were not attending to complaints made by them.
The members were particularly displeased with the officials of the town planning department . They claimed that complaints about encroachments were not being addressed by officials of the department. Complaints were also made against some officials of other departments.
The members demanded that a couple of officials who were not performing or attending to complaints of councillors be transferred to other departments. The functionaries promised they would look into the complaints..
