Recently, actor Vivek Oberoi opined about the debate surrounding high entourage cost in Bollywood. Oberoi said every time he wanted to upgrade a hotel room, he would do it with his own money, pointing people should also practice a similar attitude. He said, “I always ask the producers, ‘what’s convenient for you?’” In a new interview with News18, Oberoi was asked about the “absurd” entourage cost of stars.

He said, “I have never done it. I am a very simple man. I hear such reports.

At my house, whatever cars I love, I own them. But, when I go to a shoot, I ask them (producers), ‘What’s convenient for you?’ If it’s Innova, it works for me. As long as it’s comfortable and gets me from my hotel to the set, I will come and shoot.

” Adding, “When I want to drive a car, I will buy it with my own money.” A post shared by Vivek Oberoi (@vivekoberoi) Oberoi added that people in the industry will have to change their attitude. “I think it adds unnecessary cost to the cinema.

” However, he said, it’s an exception “when you are expected to look a certain way, especially for girls, then it’s worth it.” Giving his own example, Oberoi said, “In my case, what I have done is, when people didn’t have the budget for a team that I want or my staff who has been with me for 20+ years, I say don’t worry about it, I will take care of it with my own money. I will pay them.

If I want an upgrade in terms of a hotel, I will pay for it. I am being paid enough to do a film.” A post shared by Vivek Oberoi (@vivekoberoi) In the same interview, Oberoi said he thinks Vicky Kaushal is the most “underrated” actor in Bollywood.

Recalling his recent meeting with Kaushal, Oberoi said, “I have been looking at Vicky Kaushal’s work, and I think he is a power house. He is just phenomenal. I love the guy, I love his family.

He visited me in my Dubai office. He was promoting Sam Bahadur at that time. What a good human being.

You see him in a film like Sam Bahadur , you see him in an URI and then you see him in a comedy, a love story, you see him dancing on stage. God bless him. I hope he achieves super stardom because he deserves it.

” Oberoi, who has been selective about projects in the past few years, admitted he would have loved to be part of Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal . In the interview, during the rapid fire round, when asked, “A movie you wish you were a part of..

.,” Oberoi quickly replied “ Animal ,” before adding, “It’s so controversial.” See Also: Vivek Oberoi Claims He Was Publicly Humiliated, Sabotaged By Powerful People In Bollywood: 'Received Threats.
