They thought The Burrell Collection was items left to Princess Diana 's butler, Paul Burrell . Paul Burrell, 66, became a footman for Queen Elizabeth II when he was just 18. He then became a butler for Charles and Diana in 1987.

Diana fans took to TripAdvisor after travelling from Whitby to see the museum and expressed their disappointment. They left the 3 star feedback on the review platform titled "Nothing to do with Paul Burrell or Princess Diana".

"Just so others know - this museum has nothing to do with Lady Di and it is NOT Paul Burrell’s collection of her items.
