Tuesday, January 21, 2025 VisitBritain, the UK’ s national tourism agency, is set to host over 120 international travel trade professionals during its flagship event, ‘Showcase Britain’ . This initiative includes educational tours across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales, highlighting the latest tourism products and experiences to global buyers. The event aligns with the upcoming launch of VisitBritain’s global screen tourism campaign, ‘Starring GREAT Britain,’ which promotes the UK as a key filming destination.
Many of the tours incorporate film-and-TV-inspired experiences, allowing international travel buyers and media to explore real-life locations featured in popular productions. Travel trade professionals from 17 countries, including Canada, the USA, China, India, Germany, and Australia, will participate in tailored visits designed by VisitBritain in partnership with Tourism Northern Ireland , VisitScotland , VisitWales , and VisitEngland . These three-to-five-day tours showcase the UK’s unique attractions, focusing on driving international visitor growth and promoting tourism across the nations and regions.
Participants will attend a networking event at Hampton Court Palace in Surrey on January 23, where Tourism Minister Sir Chris Bryant, VisitBritain Chairman Nick de Bois CBE, and CEO Patricia Yates will officially welcome delegates.
