Monday, August 12, 2024 Civil Aviation Minister K. Rammohan Naidu conducted a review of the ongoing construction at Vishakhapatnam’s new airport. The review focused on various aspects of the airport’s development, including the terminal building, runway construction, apron, and approach roads.
In the meeting held on Sunday, Minister Naidu urged officials to accelerate the pace of work to ensure the airport is operational by June 2026, according to an official release. The Bhogapuram airport is anticipated to enhance connectivity and drive economic growth in the Uttarandhra region, with approximately 36% of the project already completed..
