Virgin River: Season 5 Part 1 trailer Virgin River ’s Alexandra Breckenridge has revealed she has contracted Covid for the fourth time. The Netflix star was clearly distressed as she shared the news on her Instagram Stories, revealing another side effect she hadn’t previously experienced. Her latest health woes thankfully won’t impact filming for Virgin River season six as it wrapped up in June this year.
Alexandra also expressed concern she may not recover from one of the hardest effects after researching the effects of the virus. “It’s finally happened to me,” she said with a sore throat in her latest social media update. ” The Virgin River lead revealed she didn’t contract the virus during the first year of the pandemic, admitting it was “crazy” that she was able to return to work in August 2020. “However, this is my fourth time having it,” she added, rolling her eyes and shaking her head in frustration. “It’s not so bad.
I mean, I had a rough night. I had very intense sinus pressure and pain. Alexandra candidly opened up about her recent health woes (Image: INSTAGRAM) “So, I’m on some strong painkiller right now because it was so horrific.
” She went on to reveal the most devastating aspect of her latest bout with the virus: “I’ve just realised that I’ve lost my sense of smell. “That has never happened before and I’m really bummed about it. I hope it comes back.
“Apparently some people it doesn’t. And I love to smell, I love cooking and smelling my food. So, I’m just really sad.

New episodes of Virgin River are expected to drop at some point in 2025 as post-production gets underway following its February-June filming schedule. A seventh season has not yet been confirmed.
