Thursday, August 22, 2024 Virgin Atlantic has announced of extending its popular seasonal winter flights between London and Cape Town. Due to high demand, the airline will now operate the route until April 30, 2025. Previously, the flights ran from October to March.

The extension is aimed at catering to the increased demand during the Easter holiday period, according to Marc Harding, Virgin Atlantic’s Country Manager for South Africa. The flights will be operated using the Boeing 787-9 aircraft, known for its fuel efficiency. Passengers can choose from Upper Class, Premium, and Economy Light, Classic, and Delight cabins.



Return to the Mother City Virgin Atlantic resumed its direct services between London and Cape Town in November 2022, marking its return to the route after a seven-year hiatus. The airline’s daily flights have been well-received by travelers seeking direct access to the vibrant South African city.
