Noida: Vietnam will be the partner country at the second edition of the UP International Trade Show (UPITS), jointly organised by the Uttar Pradesh govt and the India Expo Centre and Mart, from Sept 25 to 29 in Greater Noida. As part of UPITS 2024, a special Vietnam-India Forum and the UP-Vietnam Tourism Conclave (UP-VTC) will be held to strengthen economic and trade ties , particularly in the tourism sector. Vietnam's ambassador, Nguyen Thanh Hai, who will be attending the event, emphasised Vietnam's investments in states like Tamil Nadu and expressed the country's keen interest in exploring new opportunities for collaboration in Uttar Pradesh.

"The strategic partnership opens doors to business and cultural exchanges between the two regions, fostering stronger bilateral relations," Hai said. Dr Rakesh Kumar Verma, chairman of India Exposition Mart Ltd (IEML), said, "Uttar Pradesh, the cradle of Buddhism, holds immense potential as a key religious tourism hub. The international airports in Uttar Pradesh present new opportunities for Vietnam's aviation exhibitors, who plan to increase flights and develop a dedicated Buddhist tourism circuit, enhancing connectivity between the two nations.



" The five-day B2B and B2C event will also feature Vietnam's rich heritage, including its music, traditional dances, handicrafts, food, and other traditional products. "These performances will introduce the Indian audience to the beauty and depth of Vietnam's artistic legacy. Additionally, Vietnam will offer authentic cuisine such as pho, spring rolls, and banh mi, while also showcasing various indigenous products, including best practices in textile manufacturing," Verma added.

During a series of meetings on September 17, GB Nagar District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma reviewed preparations for the event, including the anticipated visit of India's Vice President, Jagdeep Dhankhar, at UPITS 2024..
