Saturday, November 9, 2024 A Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony between Vietnam Airlines and GuangZhou Yuanzhilv Technology was held in the presence of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, alongside leaders and representatives from various agencies, departments, and businesses of both nations. This MoU solidifies the shared commitment to draw close to 300,000 Chinese visitors to Vietnam from 2024 to 2030, strengthening Vietnam’s position as an appealing destination for Chinese travelers. Under the MoU, Vietnam Airlines and GuangZhou Yuanzhilv Technology agreed to collaborate in areas including aviation services, marketing initiatives, and knowledge exchange in tourism development.

The two parties will also jointly host events in China aimed at promoting Vietnam’s tourism appeal within the region. The MoU was signed as part of the “Vietnam Tourism Introduction Program,” organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to enhance tourism collaboration between Vietnam and China. The event provided a platform for Vietnamese businesses to showcase exceptional destinations, rich cultural heritage, and diverse tourism services, facilitating Chinese enterprises and tourists to gain deeper insights into Vietnam.



China has long been a significant tourism market for Vietnam. In 2024, as the Chinese travel market recovers post-COVID-19, the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism reports that Chinese tourist arrivals in Vietnam reached 2.7 million in the first nin.
