VICTORIA BECKHAM: My make-up mantra From a magic glow-getter to her holiday essentials, VICTORIA BECKHAM reveals her secrets – and the thing that drives husband David crazy By Joanne Hegarty For You Magazine Published: 07:01 EDT, 27 July 2024 | Updated: 07:01 EDT, 27 July 2024 e-mail View comments The first thing I do in the morning is cleanse my face and put my gym gear on. Then I wake Harper, 13, and help her get ready for school. I prep her breakfast and lunch, and put some music on.

David and I have coffee downstairs and talk about what we have on for that day. Harper comes down and it’s a bit of a whirlwind after that. David usually drops her at school while I begin my workout.

Then he joins me and we work out for a bit together. Finally, a quick shower and I head to the office. 'Being a Spice Girl was probably the best marketing course' I’m a big fan of simple make-up.

This morning it took me five minutes to do. I start with my Daily Oil Cleanser [£60] – it cleanses but also nourishes as I don’t like to strip my face too much – then apply serum and moisturiser. I don’t wear foundation.

I just use blush to add colour to my cheeks. My trick product is my Instant Brightening Waterline Pencil [£26], which makes your eyes sparkle. My brows have been over-plucked for years, thanks to all the photo shoots, so I fill them in with a brow gel.

Then I’ll apply my Lip Definer in No 02 [below]. In summer I add Reflect Highlighter Stick [below] on my cheeks and nose. It adds a hint of glow and highlight to the skin.

She steals my beauty products all the time. She is obsessed with her brows. I’d describe my wardrobe space as organised chaos! It drives David crazy.

I have a lot of stuff and often I have samples that I am borrowing for a photo shoot. I’m more organised than he gives me credit for, though – I like to know where things are. Lip Definer in No 02, £26, victoriabeckhambeauty.

com For holidays, I always pack way too much. The amount of times I’ve taken lots of high heels to a beautiful island and not worn a single pair! I’ve never gone to bed without taking off my make-up, so my cleansing oil is a holiday essential. My Portofino ’97 Golden Shimmer Body Oil [below] gives the skin a scented glow.

My make-up mantra is: less is more. It’s more youthful, more natural. It’s important to keep evolving with make-up and clothes, even if it’s a subtle change like swapping a rounded shoe to a pointed one, or the silhouette of your jeans.

I learned so much about myself. I travelled the world and it gave me the confidence to be the person I am now. We don’t meet up that much: everyone is busy with their own careers, their own children.

We do speak now and then, though, and I keep up with what they are doing. I’m so proud of them all. My social media is just me and a tripod.

Before I bought the tripod, people asked why I only showed one side of my face. I was trying to do my make-up with one hand and video with the other! And trying to talk as well! I do the videos wherever I am. I really enjoy it.

I loved dressing [ Bridgerton star] Phoebe Dynevor for this year’s Met Gala – she’s my perfect muse. She got in touch as she liked the dress I wore for my birthday party. She looked elegant and wasn’t constricted.

She could move in that dress and it didn’t look like she was trying too hard. victoriabeckhambeauty.com Share or comment on this article: VICTORIA BECKHAM: My make-up mantra e-mail Add comment More top stories.
