His upcoming project is the period drama Chhaava . In a recent interview, Kaushal’s Chhaava co-star, Vijay Vikram Singh, who also narrates Bigg Boss, revealed that Kaushal once stayed on set for an additional three hours to assist others and offer cues during filming.
In a conversation with Free Press Journal, Vikram was asked about his experience of working with Vicky Kaushal. He described Kaushal as one of the most respectful and caring actors he had ever encountered, noting how Kaushal consistently looks out for his co-stars with genuine humility and kindness. Recalling a particular moment on set, Vikram shared that Kaushal stayed an extra three hours to provide cues, despite finishing his own shot and having the option to take a break.
Kaushal’s Chhaava is a historical epic adapted from the Marathi novel by Shivaji Sawant. The film will also feature Rashmika Mandanna in a pivotal role as Yesubai, the wife of Sambhaji. The cast also includes Divya Dutta, Akshaye Khanna, Ashutosh Rana, and others.
Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan, the film's teaser has already received widespread appreciation from audiences. Originally slated for a December 6, 2024, theatrical release, Chhaava has been delayed to avoid a clash with Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 . The new release date has yet to be confirmed, tho.
