1 to 15, participants are invited to walk, run, hike or bike throughout the stunning landscapes of the Okanagan and track their kilometres to raise funds for ABNC's educational programming. Executive Director Cheryl Hood said the fundraiser “encourages the community to embrace the beauty of the Okanagan, fostering a deeper appreciation for the natural world we call home. By participating in ‘Okanagan Moves,’ you're not only promoting a healthy and active lifestyle, but also supporting ABNC's mission to provide educational opportunities and inspire a love for nature in all generations.

” Registration for this fundraiser is $10, and participants can choose their preferred way of moving through the Okanagan. The participant with the most kilometres logged in each category will win a grand prize, celebrating their dedication to exploring the outdoors. "We are thrilled to launch 'Okanagan Moves' and invite our community to connect with nature in a meaningful way," said Hood.

"The Okanagan Valley offers unparalleled beauty and diverse ecosystems, and this fundraiser is a fantastic opportunity for people to immerse themselves in our incredible natural surroundings while supporting our educational programs. Whether you're an avid hiker, cyclist, or someone who loves a leisurely walk, there's a place for everyone to participate in this fundraiser. Let's move for nature.

” Register by Aug. 31 to receive a tracking form and a printable PDF to log your progress. Participation will directly support ABNC's educational initiatives.
