BBC Radio 2's Vernon Kay has confessed to his listeners that he was feeling 'as sick as a dog' and pleaded for their support during his show. At the start of yesterday's (Friday, October 4) programme, the DJ admitted he was battling a cold and called on his audience to help him soldier through the broadcast. Vernon said: "I'll be honest with everyone, you need to send your messages in.
I am bunged up today. I am as sick as a dog." He added: "So I need your help today please.
" This comes after Vernon issued a stern warning to his two daughters over their "damaging" decision. The TV presenter shares teenage daughters, Phoebe and Amber, with fellow TV host Tess Daly. Vernon expressed his concerns about young girls adopting an anti-ageing skincare regime too early after the topic was raised by his Radio 2 colleague Tina Daheley on his show.
Tina highlighted the mental and physical risks of teenagers buying into skincare products too early in their lives, due to the products being regularly promoted on TikTok and other social media platforms, reports the Manchester Evening News . Vernon agreed with Tina and used his stunning wife Tess as an example of someone who has never developed a complicated skincare routine, instead keeping hers the same throughout the years. He said: "Cleansing at such a young age.
.. you don't need to put chemicals on your face! Tess Daly from Strictly Come Dancing , she's had the same routine since I've known her - morning and evening - same regime.
