Vijay Deverakonda has back-to-back movies lined up in his kitty. Currently, he is shooting for his 12th movie which is being directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. Southern heroine Bhagyashri Borse who is making her Tollywood debut with Ravi Teja’s Mr.
Bachchan has been roped in to play the female lead in this flick. Earlier rumours were adrift that Sandalwood actress Rukmini Vasanth who rose to fame with Sapta Sagaradaache Ello was supposed to be a part of Vijay Deverakonda’s current film. However, things did not work out.
Now there is a strong buzz that she will most likely play the female lead in VD14 with Raja Vaaru Raani Gaaru’s Ravi Kiran Kola. Reports are adrift that the makers have already approached Rukmini for the role and the Kannada beauty more or less has decided to give her nod to romance Vijay Deverakonda on the screen. VD14 is set in the region of Rayalaseema and will be an intense period drama bankrolled by renowned Tollywood production house Sri Venkateswara Creations.
For the Geetha Govindam actor, the success of all his upcoming movies is very crucial as his last few movies including Kushi and Family Star were back-to-back flops. His Bollywood entry with Liger also could not trigger any ripple. While during the Liger promotions, he was surrounded by all the Bollywood biggies the South Indian star is now struggling to establish his hold yet again in the film world.
On the other hand, his rumoured girlfriend Rashmika Mandanna has successfully made a mark in both South and Bollywood working with leading actors like Thalapathy Vijay, Allu Arjun, Salman Khan, and Ranbir Kapoor. Her last few releases including Pusha: The Rise and Animal have given a major boost to her career. She will be next seen in Chhava with Vicky Kaushal .
