Nearly three years to the day after teasing the world with , Valve has finally decided to release the normally black handheld gaming PC in that color too. is going on sale for $679 on November 18th at 3PM PT / 6PM ET, everywhere the handheld is sold, and the various regions of Asia .
It’s no different on the inside than a normal model, : Since the 1TB OLED normally costs $649, you’re effectively paying $30 for the color. I still highly recommend , though I could see some buyers picking for its notable performance and decent battery life advantages, particularly if they decide to dual-boot the Bazzite operating system (which makes it feel a lot like a Steam Deck) alongside Windows. (Yes, the ROG Ally X is a black variant of an originally white handheld, and this Steam Deck is the opposite.)
