Tuesday, January 21, 2025 Heritage Aviation is set to launch daily chopper services connecting Dehradun with Nainital and Bageshwar, boosting Uttarakhand’s air connectivity and tourism. Heritage Aviation is gearing up to broaden its services by adding more destinations in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand under its RCS-UDAN network. The move aligns with the company’s vision of improving regional connectivity and promoting air travel to underserved areas of the state.
A pioneer in chartered helicopter operations since 2009, Heritage Aviation began its operations under the UDAN scheme in January 2024. This government initiative aims to make air travel affordable and accessible to remote locations. The company is now focusing on extending its network to include more areas in Uttarakhand, with a special emphasis on the Garhwal region.
Plans are also underway to expand operations into Himachal Pradesh in the near future. To support this expansion, Heritage Aviation is enhancing its capacity with new aircraft. According to company representative Mathur, the organization has placed orders for two state-of-the-art helicopters from Airbus.
The first aircraft has already been delivered, and the second is expected to join their fleet within the next couple of months. These additions will enable the company to cater to more routes and passengers effectively. The expansion comes at a time when the demand for regional air connectivity is on the rise.
Heritage Aviation’s efforts are ai.
