The UT Tyler volleyball team is hosting a couple of Lone Star Conference matches for Senior Weekend. UT Tyler returns home for the final time this season with an overall record of 12-6 on the year and a Lone Star Conference record of 9-1. The Patriots are tied for second in the LSC standings with Angelo State, a game back of West Texas A&M, who is undefeated in conference.

This week’s pair of matches against UT Permian Basin (6 p.m. Friday) and Western New Mexico (2 p.



m. Saturday) will be the final matches ahead of the first NCAA Division II South Central Regional Rankings set to be published on Wednesday. Both matches are scheduled for the Herrington Patriot Center on campus.

UT Tyler will host Pajama Night for Friday night’s match. The first 100 fans in attendance will receive free limited edition UT Tyler pajama pants. The Patriots will recognize five seniors — Jenna White (Keenesburg, Colorado), Makayla Villarreal (Tomball), Addison Evans (New Braunfels), Sophie Connor (Derby, Kansas) and Dakota Rogers Hurtado (McKinney) — prior to Saturday’s match as part of the program’s annual Senior Day festivities.

The top eight teams in the Lone Star Conference regular season standings at season’s end will qualify for the Lone Star Conference Volleyball Championship Tournament on Nov. 21-23. The No.
