Usher once revealed that he observed a series of "very curious things" while living with hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs as a teenager. This follows a series of sexual assault lawsuits that were filed against Diddy, with four separate accusations made in 2023, just before the Adult Survivors Act expired. Combs denies all charges and accusations against him. The act temporarily lifted the statute of limitations for alleged victims to come forward.

On Monday, law enforcement shared a statement with The Mirror about the raid: "Earlier today, Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) New York executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners. "We will provide further information as it becomes available.".
