Usher has postponed the opening night of his Past Present Future tour, originally scheduled for Wednesday, citing health concerns and the need for additional preparation time. Luke Usher assured fans they would still receive "a bit of the past, some of the present and a unique look into the future on the rescheduled date," emphasizing his commitment to delivering a "100% Usher" performance. The Grammy-winning artist acknowledged the disappointment this might cause, stating: "The last thing I ever wanted to do was disappoint the fans who have been eagerly waiting for this tour to start." He emphasized the importance of his physical readiness to provide the best show possible and promised his team would announce new dates soon.

The postponement comes after a busy year for Usher, which included concluding his Las Vegas residency in December 2023, releasing his ninth studio album Coming Home in February, and headlining the 2024 Super Bowl halftime show. Fan reactions to the announcement were mixed. While many expressed support for Usher's decision to prioritize his health, others voiced frustration over the last-minute change, particularly those who had traveled for the show.
