Wednesday, November 13, 2024 UrbanV and Cluster2 partner to revolutionize Advanced Air Mobility in Saudi Arabia, driving innovation, sustainability, and readiness across airport networks. UrbanV, the Italian vertiport network operator, and Cluster2, an airport management entity overseeing 22 airports across Saudi Arabia, have entered into a strategic partnership to advance the development of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM) within the Kingdom. This collaboration aims to establish a robust AAM ecosystem across Cluster2’s airport network, paving the way for the launch of commercial operations in Saudi Arabia.
As part of this initiative, the two companies will undertake in-depth feasibility studies to explore the implementation of AAM solutions at Cluster2-managed airports. These studies will adhere to the regulations set by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), emphasizing safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with environmental sustainability objectives. UrbanV will leverage its expertise to transfer advanced knowledge in AAM through specialized training programs and technical support, while also fostering cooperation with key stakeholders.
