IHG Hotels & Resorts will debut its global upscale boutique brand – Hotel Indigo – in Oman on September 1. Nestled on a cliff edge at 2,000m with spectacular views of the Al Hajar Mountains, Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort and Spa is set to reimagine life on the ‘Green Mountain’. With 173 rooms, suites, and chalets, each one inspired by the landscapes of Jabal Akhdar and offering stunning views, the property is developed with Hotel Indigo’s exacting standards.

‘Hotel Indigo Jabal Akhdar Resort and Spa invites explorers to experience a breathtaking mountain escape where curated wellness and neighbourhood- inspired bucket list experiences come to life through passionate storytelling,’ stated the hotel. “Our team has poured their heart and soul into creating a place that captures the very essence of Jabal Akhdar,” added James Reeves, general manager of the new hotel. “Every detail and every experience has been carefully curated to immerse you in the story of this remarkable destination, connect with the local culture and create memories that will stay long after you leave,” the general manager claims.

“From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel the magic of this place. We can’t wait to welcome guests to our neighbourhood and share the wonders of Jabal Akhdar.” The resort’s design echoes the colours and textures of the mountain, creating a space that is both strikingly beautiful and deeply rooted in Omani heritage.

Thoughtful touches and curated experiences bring to life the stories of the resilient communities that have thrived there for centuries. The resort has three distinctive cafés – Vue Rooftop & Lounge, Wadi Habib and Zaatar. Building on Jabal Akhdar’s historic legacy, fresh ingredients and healthy eating is at the heart of hotel’s menus.

To unwind and relax, the hotel offers a wellness oasis – Jala Spa & Wellness – extending over 2,000sqm. Offering a range of rejuvenating treatments that draw inspiration from ancient Omani traditions and contemporary techniques, the spacious spa features three distinctive wellness zones with bespoke treatment experiences, immune-boosting Himalayan salt rooms, extensive thermal zones and relaxing indoor vitality pools. IHG Hotels & Resorts had signed a management agreement with Redhat al Jabal for the boutique in 2020.
