Prayagraj: The PhD admission information brochure for the session 2024-25 at Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University ( UPRTOU ) was released by Vice Chancellor, Prof Satyakam, on Tuesday. As per the instructions issued from time to time by the University Grants Commission, online applications for admission to PhD have been invited from Tuesday. Convener of the PhD entrance examination committee, Prof PK Pandey, said that to appear in the pre-PhD entrance examination, candidates can register online and submit entrance examination fee through the university website.
The last date for online registration, application, and submission of entrance examination fee has been fixed as Oct 26, while with late fee, applications can be submitted from Oct 27 to Nov 6. He informed that the error correction period in the online application details has been fixed from Nov 7 to 12. Admit cards for the entrance examination will be uploaded on the university website on Nov 18.
The proposed date of the entrance examination has been fixed as Nov 23. Prof Pandey said that this time the university will give admission through the entrance examination in 40 seats marked in 14 subjects, namely, Computer Science, Nutrition Food and Dietetics, Journalism and Mass Communication, Commerce, Medieval and Modern History, Business Administration and Business Management, Education, Sanskrit and Prakrit Language, Statistics, Hindi and Modern Indian Languages, Geography, Ancient Indian History and Archaeolo.
