Summary Aer Lingus has record US/Canada flights this year. It has 20 US routes from Dublin, Manchester, and Shannon, including Las Vegas, which starts soon. Perhaps surprisingly, it has only one Canadian route.

Aer Lingus has 21 routes between August and December 2024 . Additions include the brand-new Dublin-Las Vegas , beginning on October 25, with Sin City being the Irish capital's largest unserved North American market. Then there's Dublin-Minneapolis (which returned in April), the first-ever Dublin-Denver flights (which began in May), and Dublin-Cleveland (which started in May 2023).

These are the largest carriers and the airlines that have expanded the most. US/Canada network: August-December Examining schedules supplied by the carrier to Cirium indicates the following transatlantic routes. Unsurprisingly, the US and Canada (and Barbados from Manchester) are Aer Lingus' only long-haul markets.

However, it flew from Dublin to Dubai between 2006 and 2008. Notice that seven routes are exclusively on the 184-seat A321LR. Other airport pairs, including Dublin to JFK and Toronto, will only see the narrowbody in the winter.

This enables Aer Lingus to right-size capacity with demand to improve loads, yields, and performance while maintaining the same frequency. At the same time, the A330 that would operate can be redeployed to more profitable winter endeavors. Aer Lingus' US/Canada operation Examining Cirium schedule information indicates that the carrier has a record 149 weekly departures from Dublin, Manchester, and Shannon in August (double for both ways). That's 20 to 22 US/Canada-bound take-offs daily. Departures have risen from 142 weekly year-on-year (+5%) and are up from 122 before the pandemic in August 2019 (+22%).

Despite many flights on the A321LR, which has pushed seats per flight down to 262, new routes and increased activity overall mean a record number of seats for sale. Some 24 passenger airlines serve them. November and February are incredibly challenging winter months for airlines as there's no Christmas or New Year-related demand, and Aer Lingus is no exception.

Despite a more seasonal operation, it plans a record 134 weekly November departures ( 18-20 daily ). The flights have grown, but just less than the peak summer: up by 1% year-on-year (against 4% for August) and 15% compared to 2019 (versus 22%). More A321LRs have helped, pushing down seats per flight but maintaining a higher offering than would otherwise be the case.
