Prayagraj: The UP Secondary Education Board ( UP Board ) has redesigned exam answer sheets for Class 10 and 12 to eliminate chances of cheating. In effect, old answer sheets cannot be used in the 2025 Board exams now. This time, candidates will write the serial number in a designated space on the cover page of the answer sheet.
Previously, the serial number was written in a blank space. Along with changing the location of the barcode and monogram, the colour of the details written on the answer sheet cover page was also changed. A total of 27,51,140 students have registered for the high school examination and 26,98,446 students have registered for the intermediate examination.
UP Board secretary Bhagwati Singh determined the centres for the examination for conducting tests under strict standards, ensuring that the arrangements are foolproof. The colour of the details on the cover of the answer sheets for the high school examination in 2025 has been changed to deep magenta pink. The colour of its B-copy is now deep red.
In the 2024 examination, the colour of the main answer sheet was dark brown, while the colour of the B answer sheet was dark violet. Similarly, in class 12, the colour of the main answer sheet for 2025 has been changed to dark brown, while the colour of the B answer sheet is dark violet. Additionally, IB-25 is perforated on the left side of the cover page of the main and B answer sheets for both high school and intermediate.
