Monday, January 20, 2025 The ongoing winter storms sweeping across the United States have thrown air travel into chaos, with major airlines such as United, Qatar, American, KLM, Emirates, Delta, JetBlue, Air Canada, and Air France among the hardest hit. Over 2,000 flights have been canceled or delayed nationwide, leaving passengers stranded at airports and scrambling for alternative travel arrangements. Key hubs in the Northeast, including Newark Liberty, LaGuardia, JFK, and Boston Logan, are bearing the brunt of the disruptions as airlines struggle to manage operations amid snow and icy conditions.

At Newark Liberty International Airport, 241 cancellations and 69 delays have been reported. United Airlines, one of the largest carriers operating from Newark, has canceled dozens of flights alongside Spirit Airlines, Republic Airlines, and JetBlue. LaGuardia Airport has also been significantly affected, with 200 cancellations and 55 delays , causing major disruptions for airlines such as Endeavor Air, Republic Airlines, and SkyWest Airlines.



John F. Kennedy International Airport has recorded 133 cancellations and 107 delays , with JetBlue leading the cancellations. Other carriers such as Virgin Atlantic, Republic Airlines, and Finnair have also experienced operational challenges.

Boston Logan International Airport, meanwhile, has reported 118 cancellations and 67 delays , with JetBlue and Republic Airlines seeing the highest number of disruptions. Among the hardest-hit airlines .
