The United Arab Emirates has unveiled its longest mountain trail, now open in Dubai’s scenic Hatta region. This new tourist hotspot promises an exhilarating outdoor experience, with Dubai Municipality announcing the completion of the Hatta Mountain Trails, designed to cater to a range of fitness levels.
The Hatta trails feature diverse terrains, including rugged landscapes, steep peaks, and stunning valleys, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the natural surroundings. The paths are categorized into four difficulty levels, each marked with distinct colors for easy navigation. To support this initiative, significant infrastructure upgrades have been implemented.
These include the addition of parking facilities, restroom installations, and dedicated zones for bicycle rentals and repairs. Moreover, picnic and rest areas have been thoughtfully set up to enhance the overall visitor experience. Aiming to redefine adventure tourism, the Hatta Mountain Trails span 53 kilometers , boasting 21 cycling routes, and an additional 33 kilometers with 17 walking trails, summing up to a total of 86 kilometers.
These trails cater to both casual hikers and avid adventure seekers. The color-coded difficulty levels start with green for beginners, blue for intermediate explorers, red for those seeking a more intense challenge, and black for seasoned adventurers. The green trails provide a gentle introduction, featuring four routes each for cycling and walking.
The blue trails elevate the experience with six cycling routes and three walking paths. Red trails offer a more strenuous experience, with eight cycling and six walking routes. The black trails are reserved for the most experienced, featuring three cycling and four walking paths.
This extensive trail network not only aims to boost tourism but also supports Dubai’s vision of promoting an active, healthy lifestyle, reinforcing Hatta’s position as a premier destination for outdoor activities for both residents and visitors alike..
