Sunday, September 8, 2024 United Airlines is repainting its first Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner with its latest livery, ‘Evo-Blue.’ This design has already been introduced across most of the airline’s fleet, except for the 787-8 Dreamliner. The new livery is a modern update of United’s globe design, replacing the traditional gold hues with bold royal blue accents.

The fuselage remains predominantly white, with “United” in large letters on the front half. Blue accents adorn the engines and winglets, with a swoop of color flowing from the nose to the tail. United’s 787-8 fleet, introduced in 2012, has not yet received the new paint scheme due to its relatively newer status.

The aircraft N26902 was recently ferried to Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport (AMA) from San Francisco International Airport (SFO) for its repaint. FlightAware data shows it departed at 06:43 AM, reaching an altitude of 39,000 feet before climbing to 41,000 feet. It landed at AMA around 11:00 AM CDT.

United operates 12 Boeing 787-8s, with N26902 being the third delivered in November 2012. This model joins other aircraft types already painted in the ‘Evo-Blue’ livery, including Airbus A319, A320, A321neo, Boeing 737 MAX, 757, 767, 777, and the larger 787-9 and 787-10 Dreamliners. Although the repainting process is ongoing, United has made significant progress in rolling out its refreshed look across the fleet.
