MACKINAW CITY, MI - If you’ve got some artistic talent, a love for stargazing, and you’ve always wanted to see your work displayed in public, the “Under a Dark Sky” Art Contest might be for you. The contest designed to showcase the beauty of the night sky is being sponsored by the Mackinaw City Area Arts Council and the nearby Headlands International Dark Sky Park. Submissions are due Sept.
30. “This exciting endeavor invites artists of all mediums to delve into the allure of the night sky and showcase their interpretations through captivating works of art,” organizers said. “From traditional to contemporary, abstract to realistic, all artistic approaches are welcomed as long as they celebrate the magnificence of the night sky.
