Vadodara: The Panigate police on Tuesday arrested a chain snatcher who had targeted a woman on Waghodia Road a few days ago and fled with her gold chain. The accused, Naresh Tadvi , who lives in Sultanpura village on the city's outskirts, rode past the woman, Ranjan Joshi, on his two-wheeler and snatched her chain when she was walking towards her house. Police scanned the CCTV footage of the area and narrowed down on Tadvi after getting the registration number of the two-wheeler.
"The bike belongs to Tadvi's elder brother. He resorted to chain snatching as he was unable to repay loans taken from private finance firms," said police. The cops recovered the gold chain worth Rs 25,000.
