The United Nations Tourism delegation, which arrived in Ekiti State last week Saturday on technical assessment mission, has embarked on exploration of the different tourism circuit of the state guided by the Ekiti State Bureau of Tourism Development led by its Director General, Barrister Wale Ojo-Lanre. It has been a discovery voyage and extraordinary experience for the delegation, with the team witnessing a natural phenomenon and captivating occurrence when they found themselves literally enveloped by the cloud at the breathtaking Oluwaleto Farms, perched atop the majestic Mountain Golgotha in Efon Alaye, which is one of the amazing tourism circuits of the state. Marcel Leijzer, alongside his colleagues; Precious Ovahabonosa and Okemini Dike, are in Nigeria to lend their technical expertise in shaping the Ekiti State Tourism Development Master Plan. The stunning natural beauty of Efon Alaye stood out as one of the most memorable experience for the visiting team. As the delegation made their way up the winding paths of Mt.



Golgotha, a mist enveloped the landscape, creating an ethereal atmosphere that felt like a scene from a dream land. The lush green hills rolled majestically into the distance, kissed by clouds that danced low, obscuring the valley below. It was a surreal moment where the air was crisp, and the scent of damp earth mingled with the sweet, fresh aroma of the surrounding foliage.

As the delegation stood at the summit of Mt. Golgotha, they marveled at the breathtaking panoramic views that emerged as the cloud began to lift, revealing vibrant green valleys interspersed with quaint rural settlements. The sight underscored the profound potential of Ekiti landscape’s ability to captivate tourists from around the globe.

Ovahabonosa expressed his passion for the project, stating, “This experience has invigorated our mission.
