Swiss luxury watchmaker Ulysse Nardin has unveiled a duo of Royal Sapphire wristwatches. Housed in a fully transparent sapphire crystal case, the references proudly showcase its inner workings in two bold colorways: Ruby and Blue. The process of crafting these 44mm-sized sapphire watch cases is eminently complex and costly, as the material itself is susceptible to breaking during machining and polishing processes.

Spotlighted at the center of the sapphire housing is Ulysse Nardin’s very own UN-79 caliber. Composed of 209 components and geared with a flying tourbillon, the movement is manually wound and provides up to 96 hours of power reserve. What truly catches the eye about the see-through caliber are the main plates and bridges made of colored spinel.

Avaiable through Ulysse Nardin , the watches are accompanied by a classic alligator leather strap, each priced at $328,300 USD..
