A family-run caravan park in Wales, Tyddyn Isaf, has been crowned the best in the UK by a leading tourism organisation. The site, located on Anglesey and boasting "magnificent views" of a sandy beach, was named AA Campsite of the Year. The AA Caravan and Camping Awards is an annual event that has been recognising the best sites and parks in the UK since its inception in 1979.
The awards are based on the quality and commitment to customer service as assessed by the AA's expert inspectors. Tyddyn Isaf not only won the Campsite of the Year award for Wales but also bagged the overall winner prize, reports Wales Online . An AA inspector praised the site saying: "This is a beautifully situated family park on rising ground adjacent to a sandy beach with magnificent views overlooking Lligwy Bay.
A memorable holiday destination, it has been in the Mount family since 1975, with daughter Haley and husband Simon continuing the family tradition of excellent hospitality and service. ". The inspectors were particularly impressed by the stunning coastal and country views, quality serviced hardstanding pitches offering privacy for residents, and hospitality stops including coffee lounges, a bar serving pastries and snacks all day, and even a takeaway offering wood-fired pizza.
The inspector was effusive in praise, noting: "Due to the undulating nature of the park, quality hardstanding pitches, most fully serviced and offering excellent privacy, have been created ensuring all have stunning coa.
