. headline the events. The headliners will be joined by the likes of Bradley Simpson, Only The Poets, Jason Allan, RAYE, The Prodigy and The K's across the weekend on both sites.

However, while previous years have seen scorching temperatures, this year it's looking quite different. Speaking to the Mirror , a spokesperson for the Met Office said: "From Thursday, it is likely to be a breezy day for both Reading and Leeds. Winds will start to ease for Leeds by the afternoon with brighter sunnier spells and will be the same for Reading but a bit later into the evening.

" However, they went on to add: "Overnight during the early hours of Friday, a deep low-pressure system will sweep across the UK, bringing more heavy rain and increasing strong winds. This will likely cause some local impacts across both festivals. Winds will ease in Reading as sunnier spells return by midday, but will be later across Leeds and it will remain breezy with showers into the evening.

" But while sunnier spells will return on Friday, it appears that Saturday will also bring a barrage of bad news for music lovers hoping to enjoy their final summer blowout. The spokesperson continued: "Saturday morning will see yet more heavy rain moving up across the south of the UK. This will impact Reading a lot more than Leeds, but Leeds may still get the odd heavy shower.

" This, however, won't last long as temperatures are set to rise, with the rain expected to ease as the weather clears up. "Once this system has passed through the morning, both festivals will see more in the way of sunshine and showers across the rest of Saturday and Sunday," they said. They added: "Reading will see the best of the sunny spells for the majority of the weekend but throughout the next few days, both will feel rather fresh with temperatures just below the seasonal average at around 19-21 Celsius.

" Over 240,000 visitors are expected to flock to the two festivals at Richfield Avenue in Reading and Bramham Park in Leeds – making both Reading and Leeds the biggest UK festival which is dedicated just to music.
