The UK is bracing for “disruptive snow” as up to 20cm of snow could fall across parts of the country this week, the Met Office has warned. Snow, ice and cold temperatures are all expected to hit parts of the UK in the coming days, the forecaster has said. In the worst hit areas up to 20cm of snow could fall, bringing with it the “first taste of winter”.
The Met Office has issued several yellow weather warnings for snow and ice for parts of the UK that began on Sunday afternoon and are in place until Tuesday morning, but said there is “potential” for warnings to be “escalated”.
