On Wednesday, the UHV baseball team announced its 2025 schedule. The Jaguars (34-17 in 2024) are scheduled to play 50 games this season starting in late January as they make a push for a conference title and NAIA World Series appearance. UHV, which tied the single-season wins record last year, opens its season with a three-game set vs.

Wiley College at home Jan. 24-25. That begins a 28-game home slate for the Jaguars in 2025.



The Jaguars, who are receiving votes in the NAIA preseason poll for the first time, will start their quest for the Red River Athletic Conference regular season title Feb. 14-15 with a home series against University of the Southwest. UHV hosts NCAA Division I Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the first part of a home-and-home series on Feb.

UHV closes its regular season with Homecoming Weekend April 25-26 against LSU Alexandria. The Jaguars return six of their nine All-Conference honorees from a year ago. Senior Julian Garcia and sophomore Jacob Baker, both pitchers, are the two returning first-team honorees.

Brady Parker, Mason Longoria and Hal Perez are back this season after garnering spots on the All-RRAC second team. Juan Perez, an RRAC.
