A love of cooking, a love of serving, and family business: It's all part of how Two Sisters Kitchen + Bar came into being on the south end of Oronoco. Owners — and sisters — Diane Osland and Lori Melhorn grew up watching the family run a business. ADVERTISEMENT That business was Rochester manufacturing company Gauthier Industries, owned and run by their father and grandfather.

While it's a completely different kind of business, the family had a track record of keeping a business afloat, making payroll, putting out a product that customers loved. For the sisters, that meant sharing what they loved. "In my early adult life while in college and shortly after college, I was a server in multiple restaurants," Melhorn says.



"Diane and I have been hosting large family events since we were first married over 30 years ago. And most of my volunteering at St. Pius X Church involved preparing food and serving food to parishioners for several different events, the largest being an annual Christmas Tea for over 200 parishioners.

" Over the years, Melhorn says, the experience of serving others became second nature to her. "I personally enjoy cooking, hosting,= and feeding others. Some would say it is my love language.

" They hope folks come hungry for their comfort food-filled menu. The sisters have done a masterful job creating the menu, everything made from scratch. "Our goal was to focus on more traditional Minnesota cuisine," says Osland.
