Two men have been found guilty on all counts in the 2022 killing of rapper PnB Rock . Freddie Trone was found guilty of one count of felony murder, two counts of robbery, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery, Rolling Stone reported on August 7, for arranging the deadly robbery on the rapper, born Rakim Allen. Prosecutors said Trone gave his 17-year-old son a gun, sent him to rob the Philadelphia rapper and his fiancée of their jewelry, and was the getaway driver.

Tremont Jones was also found guilty of two counts of robbery and one of conspiracy, for alerting Trone that PnB and his fiancée, Stephanie Sibounheuang, walked into the Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles in South Los Angeles where the killing took place. The jury made the decision in less than four hours on the eleventh day of the trial. Trone’s defense lawyer argued that his son acted independently.

Trone’s son was also arrested after the murder, but a judge ruled in July that he was not yet competent to remain trial. PnB Rock had a hit in the song “Selfish” in 2016, which went triple platinum and earned him a spot in XXL ’s 2017 “Freshman Class.” He was 30 when he died.

During the trial, Sibounheuang praised his bravery for shielding her from the shooting, calling him “a hero.” After the verdict, his mother, Deannea Allen, told Rolling Stone she was “elated”: “We got justice for Rakim.”.
