Two men from Bolton have been charged with robbing businesses and carrying bladed articles in the borough. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) shared on their Bolton Facebook page this weekend that charges have been secured for two men regarding business robberies. Jack Dewhurst, of Gower Street, Bolton, has been charged with two counts of business robbery and two counts of possession of a bladed article.

Shane White, also of Gower Street, Bolton, has been charged with one count of business robbery and one count of possession of a bladed article. According to GMP, business robbery is where items are stolen from commercial premises such as a shop or a factory using violence or threats. Dewhurst, 26, and White, 51, were both remanded into custody and appeared at Manchester Magistrates Court on Saturday (August 24).



Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton from Bolton’s Neighbourhood Crime Team said: “I hope these charges demonstrate out commitment to making our community a safer place. "I want to thank the public for their support and ask that if you have any information that may assist with an investigation you share it with us by contacting us on 101 or online."
