A man on a roof closed a road well into the night. On Friday, September 20, Arun Road was partially closed from around 1pm while police engaged with the man on the roof of a house. Arun Police asked people to avoid the area while the incident was ongoing as they prioritised the safety of “the man, our officers and the wider public”.

He has been released on bail under investigation. Sussex Police said the man on the roof was arrested at around 12.
