Note to every Hollywood marketing team manufacturing a successful press tour: get the hot guy to bring his dog. After scoring a strong box office tally in Wednesday and Thursday previews, Twisters beat every industry prediction , even the high $60 million one, and racked in a historic $80.5 million in its opening weekend.

With a pile of cash like that, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell’s tornado-chasing sequel set the record for the highest-grossing opening weekend by any disaster movie, ever. While there’s plenty for factors for why audiences bothered to get their butts in seats for Powell’s v-line good humor or Edgar-Jones’s Oklahoma accent attempt, we’re sure they were amused by the press tour. Powell brought his self-described nepo baby, Brisket the Dog, along for the ride.

The pup, who the actor adopted while filming the flick, killed us with cuteness as he growled at co-star Anthony Ramos or licked a nose on the red carpet. Elsewhere during the Twisters media blitz, interviews and TikToks stole the show. Here’s our favorite moments: Here he is growling at dad’s co-star, Anthony Ramos: not brisket read anthony’s wiki pic.
