A TV star will be visiting a village chapel next month. Vet Matt Jackson-Smith will be crossing the border into Lancashire on a book tour. Matt, who starts in Channel 5's The Yorkshire Vet, published his first book last month in which he writes about the 'rollercoaster ride' of his career as a vet.
Matt will be arriving to Rivington Unitarian Chapel for a visit on Monday, December 16 to give a talk at 2pm before heading over to Foxtails Coffee Bar in Chorley Town Centre for a second public engagement. Tickets for the Rivington Chapel visit are priced at £2.50 and can be purchased from Rivington Village Green Tea Rooms with a total of 80 places available whilst tickets for Matt’s Chorley engagement will be priced at £5 from Foxtails offering a total of 35 places for those interested in joining.
Matt will be talking about his experiences as a celebrity vet linked to the arrival of his new book, ‘My Life as a Yorkshire Vet’. His autobiography includes more tender moments such as tackling feelings of “imposter syndrome” alongside difficult challenges, such as wrestling an XL Bully Dog. Signed copies of the book will be available for sale on the day.
