Kennedy International Airport (JFK) has announced that Turkish Airlines will be among the first carriers to operate from the new terminal upon its opening in 2026. The airline will also debut a state-of-the-art lounge designed specifically for its premium passengers, marking a new chapter in Turkish Airlines’ expansion at its primary U.S.
hub. The New Terminal One, poised to become the largest international terminal in the country, will feature cutting-edge technology and world-class amenities to provide a seamless and enhanced travel experience. This development is part of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s extensive $19 billion project to revamp JFK Airport into a leading global gateway.
The project includes the construction of two new terminals, the modernization and expansion of existing ones, a new ground transportation center, and a completely redesigned roadway network. Turkish Airlines, which currently operates 19 weekly flights from JFK to its Istanbul hub, will continue to offer superior service from the new terminal. As part of its growth at JFK, the airline will open an 11,000-square-foot lounge in the New Terminal One—twice the size of its current lounge in Terminal 1.
