(Image: WXCharts) A popular holiday hotspot in Turkey is set to be hit by a searing 43C heatwave in weeks - and the Foreign Office is warning UK tourists to be careful. The scorching heatwave will hit the regions around Izmir and Aydin hardest, with temperatures set to reach highs of 44C on the week beginning August 19.

" It adds that wildfires happen frequently and warns that tourists can get a fine or even a prison sentence for lighting any fire in a risk area. Risk areas include woodland and other similar environments. Barbecues are completely prohibited in these areas.
