Monday, August 26, 2024 TTM Maldives 2024, the 8th edition of the prestigious Travel Trade Maldives event, concluded successfully on 22nd August at Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi, following its commencement on 21st August at the Meerumaa Conference Facility. This two-day event has become a cornerstone for the travel and tourism industry in the Maldives, attracting industry professionals, stakeholders, and key decision-makers to engage in fruitful discussions, networking, and business development. The event began with an impactful opening speech by Ibrahim Faisal, the Tourism Minister of the Maldives, emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing and promoting the tourism sector.

The opening ceremony also featured insightful presentations from influential industry players, shedding light on emerging trends and innovations shaping the future of travel and hospitality in the Maldives. TTM Connect meetings, a core feature of the event, took place from August 21st to 22nd at the Meerumaa Events Conference Facility. These meetings provided a platform for over 500 travel trade professionals and more than 100 hoteliers to engage in over 3,000 pre-scheduled business interactions.



The TTM Connect sessions facilitated meaningful exchanges, fostering new partnerships and collaborations essential for the continued growth and development of the Maldivian tourism industry. One of the standout moments of TTM Maldives 2024 was the TTM Awards & Gala night, dedicated to celebrating the exceptional achievements within the Maldives’ hospitality sector. This year’s awards expanded to include 28 categories, recognizing outstanding performance across resorts, hotels, top producers, and airlines.

The gala night was a festive and memorable evening filled with live music, fine dining, and a vibrant atmosphere, allowing industry professionals to connect, celebrate, and recognize excellence. The success of TTM Maldives 2024 was underpinned by the support of various esteemed partners. Visit Maldives played a key role as the Destination Partner, with Mastercard as the Card Partner and Ooredoo Maldives as the Digital Partner.
