Ex-President Donald Trump attacked Vice President Kamala Harris ’ laugh and said he wanted to use the artist that sketched her ‘beautiful’ magazine cover. Trump in his North Carolina rally veered off his campaign’s new focus on his economy plan and launched numerous personal attacks on the Democratic nominee , Harris. ‘What happened to her laugh?’ said Trump on Wednesday afternoon.
‘I haven’t heard that laugh in about a week.’ He added: ‘That’s the laugh of a crazy person, I will tell you. ‘They told her, “Don’t laugh, don’t laugh,” No, her laugh is career-threatening.
’ Trump cast himself as smarter than his 2024 opponent. ‘You know why she hasn’t done an interview? She’s not smart. She’s not intelligent,’ he said.
Harris has not done a media interview since President Joe Biden ended his reelection campaign under pressure and endorsed her. Trump again brought up Harris’ Time magazine cover, which he said she looked ‘beautiful’ in on Monday in an interview with X (formerly Twitter) owner Elon Musk . Time ran a cover with an illustration of Harris as well as a story despite her declining to speak to the publication.
‘They don’t use her picture, they don’t use her picture, they use an artist sketch,’ Trump told his supporters in Asheville. ‘I want to use that artist. I want to find that artist.
I like him very much.’ When the former president addressed his economic plan bearing the new slogan, ‘No Tax on Tips’, he still wound up taking a shot at Harris. ‘When Kamala lays out her fake economic plan this week – probably will be a copy of my plan, because basically that’s what she does,’ he said.
Harris is set to unveil her economic plan in the battleground state of North Carolina on Friday. The Trump campaign on Wednesday clearly laid out an attack on Harris’ economic strategy, claiming that she isn’t doing interviews because ‘she can’t explain why crippling inflation rates have resulted in a 20% increase in prices since she took office’. Trump went off the cuff in his latest rally despite his advisers reportedly growing frustrated that he does not stay focused on the prepared issues. ‘Today we’re going to talk about one subject and then we’ll start going back to the other ‘cause we sort of love that, don’t we?’ Trump said in reference to the economy. ‘They say it’s the most important subject, I’m not sure it is.
