Peak J, the agency representing Moon Ga-young , announced a significant charitable gesture by the actress on August 26. In their statement, they announced, “Moon Ga-young decided to donate a portion of the proceeds from her first prose book ‘ PATA ’, published in March, hoping the money would be used meaningfully. She donated 100 million won to Ewha Medical Center”.

Ewha Medical Center, founded in 1887, holds the distinction of being Korea's first women’s hospital. Its origins can be traced back to Bogunyeogwan, a pioneering medical facility that played a crucial role in the development of medicine, nursing, and education in Korea. Moon Ga-young’s donation reflects her deep respect for the center’s historical and ongoing contributions.



Moved by Ewha Medical Center's legacy and mission, she chose to allocate the funds with the hope that they would support the institution’s continued growth and commitment to its founding principles. In response to the donation, Ewha Medical Center expressed their gratitude. They assured that, “We will do our utmost with sincerity to serve our patients, ensuring that the spirit of this donation becomes a source of pride”, as reported by Kbizoom.
