Trish Stratus has had a remarkable journey in the league of wrestling . Today we are looking at her journey to becoming one of the most credible female wrestlers of her generation. In a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Stratus revealed the details behind her big break.

While she was already a well-known name as a fitness and sports model , it wasn’t until WWE that she became a globally recognised talent. Stratus was featured on multiple magazine covers and sports talk shows. Once during an interview, she was approached to join the business by Michael Hayes.

He requested her to send in a promotional package for WWE. At the same time, Terry Taylor of WCW also showed interest in signing her. Ultimately, Jim Ross interviewed her and they ended up signing a contract and the rest is history.

Stratus began her wrestling career in 2000, by 2001, she had already won her first Women’s World Championship. In a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, Stratus revealed, "I was a little discouraged but okay hold on let's see if they do call, let me prepare the best possible package and so during that time I found out where Edge trained and I started wrestling ..

. Terry Taylor took my little promotional kit, put it on Jim Ross's desk and said this is Trish Stratus, if you don't want her, we'll take her ..

. when I sat down with Jim Ross, I remember one of the questions he said 'you know it's a very physical business,' and I said yeah well I've been training for the last couple months and he was surprised to hear that because obviously I had no background in wrestling and I think that really kind of sent a little check mark on the interview." Jim Ross has gone vocal multiple times about how he thought Trish Stratus was one of his best hires.

He shared, "She's athletic and obviously a beautiful woman," Ross said. "She was just as nice then as she is now, and she's just wonderful to be around. The look — she had that Pamela Anderson look at that time, and so that was one of my best hires.

" Trish Stratus has made a mark for herself after four decades of being at the top of her game in the business. She also holds the title of a 448 day reign as the WWE Women’s Champion, which is the longest reign of a Women’s World Championship of the 21st century..
