Triptii Dimri gained overnight fame after the release of Animal but before that she received critical acclaim for her role in Bulbbul. The film revealed on Netflix in 2020 was a horror drama that explored the tales of a supernatural woman in the forest killing men in the night. It also follows a child-bride and her journey from innocence to strength and freedom.

The actress recently opened up about the film during a podcast with Ranveer Allahbadia and revealed that people asked her not to do the film. Dimri also opened up about how the film's director Anvita Dutt Guptan would frequently apologise to her during filming. She was quoted by Free Press Journal saying, "The rape scenes were very intense.
