Given a second chance at claiming the Mid-Penn Colonial Division title outright after a 40-34 double-overtime loss at home to Susquehanna Township in Week 9, Trinity made the most of its opportunity with a 56-21 victory at Middletown Friday. The win clinched the first division crown for the Shamrocks since 2012. Mason Boyer connected with Maddox Jarynski for a pair of touchdowns for Trinity, which trailed 7-0 at the end of the first quarter and scored 35 straight points to take a 35-7 lead into halftime.
Jacob Ness, Christian Joy and Dameon Reese joined Jarynski in the first-half scoring barrage for the Shamrocks (8-2, 7-1 Colonial), who led 49-7 through three quarters before the Raiders (3-7, 2-6) scratched together a pair of fourth-quarter scores. Trinity also solidified the No. 2 spot in the District 3 Class 2A rankings, securing a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Carlisle and Boiling Springs made the most of their regular-season finles, picking up Week 10 victories Friday to enter the offseason with positive momentum.
