On the heels of another restaurant’s grand opening, Chef appears to be already thinking about what’s next with a new concept coming to at The renowned chef, who previously worked with the Gjelina Group before joining , is preparing to open a new Japanese izakaya called RVR next month, but that’s not stopping him from planning more restaurants. After a nearly five-year hiatus from Los Angeles, Lett is already working on a new yet-to-be-named concept, according to . The chef has posted a letter of intent on the Venice building, indicating that the team has applied for a coastal development permit with City Planning.

Currently, the building is used for manufacturing, but the proposed development would change that to a restaurant with a new commercial kitchen, interior dining area, outdoor dining patio, roof deck dining patio, and onsite parking. The notice also indicated that the incoming restaurant would dispense “a full line of alcoholic beverages.” While there’s no exact timeline for this concept, considering he must first open RVR and permits still need approval, this concept will likely open in the next couple of years.

“I’m working on the development of a beautiful historic building in Venice Beach,” Lett tells Eater. “I found this 100-year-old building by the beach, and I’m working closely with the city to see if we can get it approved. The Beach District is the oldest part of Venice and a new frontier — it’s an exciting opportunity.

We’re optimistic we’ll be able to bring it to fruition, at which point I’ll be looking more closely at the concept, but as of right now, it’s too early to share more.” Related Posts © What Now Media Group 2024. All rights reserved.
